Thank you for your interest in volunteering with MSterious Miracles!

One of the many ways you can get involved and help make miracles happen is by volunteering your time and talents. We have a variety of areas where you can serve. You can also intern with MSterious Miracles for class credit and community service hours.

Volunteer Positions

    Position 1 of 16

    Parking Lot

    Help guest, artist, and vendors park in designated areas. Ensure that spaces in front are only taken by those with a handicap plaque or plates. Keep traffic moving in and out and direct guest to open space. Take inventory of open spaces at start & end of shift.

    Check In

    Scan tickets and collect money from guest that are buying tickets day of. Put on appropriate wrist band for age. Blue under 21, orange 21+, VIP badge for anyone that has a VIP ticket.

    Raffle

    Sell raffle tickets and draw names of winners, give names to MC to announce. Make sure name and phone number are on tickets. Walk around and offer people tickets to purchase. Sell drink tickets.

    Street Team

    Pass out flyers for upcoming events to individuals, businesses and events. Make sure you get permission before you leave flyers at any location. Locations provided by MSterious Miracles have received prior approval. Please keep track of where you leave flyers (name & address).

    Setup

    Load in supplies, decorate lounge, organize merch and raffle items, and put up signage. Display swag bags. Setup tables for vendors.

    Teardown

    Take down signs, pack up prizes that were not claimed, pack up any left over food and drinks. Fold linens and put in bins. Take down table and chairs from vendors. Clean up lounge. Take down games.

    Games

    Ensure games get reset after they have been played and that pieces don’t go missing. Be a player if there is a need to get the game going.

    Lounge

    Check credentials — only people with a VIP, Artist or Staff badge are allowed into the lounge. You will pass out swag bags, and put a label with the person’s name on it. Help to keep food and drinks stocked. Clean up after people and ensure the lounge stays tidy.

    Info & Merch

    Answer questions about MSterious Miracles. Pass out info about the org. Collect emails. Sell merch. Answer questions about the event schedule, navigate people to various areas and activities. Sell drink tickets.

    Floater

    Assisting volunteer coordinator and host with whatever they need. Running errands and helping in areas where we are short on people. You may be asked to go to the store, storage unit, or pick up food for volunteers. Give rides if needed.

    Guest Attendant

    Helping guest that have mobility challenges. Opening doors, getting them food and drinks, helping them to their seats. Making sure they have an accessible seat. Helping with raffles & merch.

    Client Relations

    You will reach out to clients by phone call or text to ask how they are doing and if they need assistance with anything. Ask if they need rides to any upcoming appointments, need food, need help paying for any medication or medical services, if their home needs any updates or modifications, or if they need any type of mobility equipment. Ask if they would like any additional resources, and if every other month is frequent enough or if they would like to be contacted more frequently.

    Artist Liaison

    Helping members of the band with small task to ensure their time before & after performance goes smoothly. Make sure water is on stage for them before they go on. Take off any water on the stage after performance. Bring them food and drinks to green room if they don’t want to go to the VIP lounge.

    Vendor Attendant

    Directing vendors to their spots and giving them their credentials and drink tickets. Provide Wifi codes and show them where to plug in if they need electricity.

    Stage Hand

    Moving instruments and equipment off and on stage between sets to get the stage ready for the next act. Make sure the stage is properly set for each band.

    Security

    Check ID’s at check in to ensure those that are under 21 get the appropriate colored wristband. Do frequent sweeps of the event to ensure everything is running smoothly. Remove anyone that is being disruptive. Ensure that people don’t try to steal anything.

Volunteer Perks

For every hour you volunteer you earn a raffle ticket for the upcoming event. Once you have completed 4 hours of volunteering you will be offered tickets to a concert or sporting event.

Volunteer hours can also go towards community service and college credits.

I agree to show up on time for my shift and do the work that is asked of me to the best of my ability.

I agree that while volunteering I will not show up drunk or high nor will I get drunk or high while on shift. You may drink while on shift with the exception of not exceeding a sober state. If you fail to abide by these rules you will be asked to leave immediately and will not be asked to volunteer in the future.

I have read and understand the various roles and responsibilities of becoming an MSterious Miracles volunteer and am able to perform those roles in which I have applied for. I am volunteering my time and understand I will not be paid for my services as a volunteer and I expect no compensation. I understand that this application will help determine the best fit of my skills for MSterious Miracles.

  • I will refuse any personal gifts, loans, favors or other considerations of more than nominal value from any vendor, sponsor or other outside party that would influence, or could be perceived as influencing, my actions or the actions of others.
